Four years after their first UK tour, singer-songwriters Saoirse Casey and Nick Parker are hitting the road again together. The gigs will involve a set from both artists with the occasional duet when they feel like it.

Saoirse Casey is an Irish singer-songwriter & musician. Her first gig was supporting Declan O’Rourke in the INEC Killarney and since then she has joined Declan on stage at numerous venues including the National Concert Hall, Vicar Street, and the Seapoint Ballroom. She also appears on his orchestral album ‘In Full Colour’. Saoirse (pronounced Sir-Sha) has been playing shows since 2014, supporting and appearing onstage alongside iconic Irish artists such as Kila, Mundy & her father Paddy Casey. In 2016, Saoirse toured with Nick Parker across England. In 2019, Saoirse toured in Japan with Japanese violinist Yuri Atowa. Saoirse’s album ‘Lunaria’ is a collection of songs written over the last 6 years or so. The album was recorded and produced mostly by Saoirse herself over the last two years. Later in the process she enlisted the help of Dublin-based Producer Pat Donne to help with mixing and the final production. With a broad spectrum of songs that emit an oceanic energy both soothing and invigorating, it is an enchanting collection of fables, lullabies and powerful expressions of love (both earthly and elsewhere). When asked to describe her album, Saoirse said Lunaria is “inspired by the gossamer of wings, a deep love of the earth and all its hidden places”. Saoirse lives in the Irish countryside with her rabbit Pipkin.

Glastonbury based Nick Parker started gigging in his early teens playing mandolin and singing in folk/rock/skiffle band ‘Why?’ and spent the next 10 years bouncing around on stages at hundreds of venues and festivals around the UK and Europe. In 2010 Nick embarked on a solo career and has since released three full-length albums, 2010’s ‘The King of False Alarms’, 2014’s ‘Angry Pork and the Occasional Bird’ and 2017’s ‘Besta Venya’, tracks from which have been played on various BBC6Music shows. Over the years Nick has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with The Wedding Present, Bright Eyes, Frank Turner, and Mike Peters among others. He has also recently provided tour support for Levellers, Ginger Wildheart & the Sinners, and Skinny Lister, with a full European tour scheduled with Levellers for later this year, where he will be taking his 7 piece band ‘Nick Parker and the False Alarms’.  The songs are often tongue-in-cheek and cheerful, and on the rare occasion when fun IS poked (usually at himself) it is always with a wry smile and an element of satire. The audience are often encouraged to be a part of the show, from holding up lyrics or creating sound effects, to providing basslines or collectively being Nick’s duet partner.
Nick first met Saoirse at the end of 2015 in Ireland and they decided to tour together a few months later. Nick’s song,‘Guess I’ll Never Know’ was written especially to sing as a duet with Saoirse on that tour and it made its way onto Nick’s album Besta Venya, and has been sung at nearly every gig since.
