If you can play a set of covers across 4 to 6 times in a week in the same bar, either as a duo or a solo artist and either you can, or would like to learn to ski or snowboard, then I can help....
I am currently supplying live entertainment for two ski resorts from mid December until end of season in late April. One is in The Southern French Alps and the other in Norway, both are extremely beautiful parts of the world and both have very different specific advantages.
I will be booking final dates for the 2013 season in October 2012
The French resort has a larger social scene but with empty slopes and fantastic conditions the skiing in Norway is probably the best you will find in the world - with maybe the exception of a couple of resorts in the USA, so in a nutshell France is for serious partying and Norway is for serious skiing / boarding. Don't get me wrong, you can have a great time skiing in France and take it from me - you can definitely party in Scandinavia!
What you need to be able to do is:-
Play 4 to 6 one hour sets of well known up tempo cover songs either as a solo artist or duo,
and be available for one week either Monday to Monday transfers or Saturday to Saturday.
What you get is:-
Free Flights,
Free transfers from airport to resort (not UK side),
Free accommodation,
Free ski pass
Free skiing or boarding lessons if needed
Free ski equipment hire, boots, skis / boards (not ski wear, i.e. jackets or salopettes)
ALL THIS FOR 2 PEOPLE (RRP £1200 - £1500)
What you need to take is:-
Your guitars (we have 2 acoustic guitars there that that solo or duo acts can borrow) microphones, leads, plectrums, strings, capo, 9 volt battery and guitar strap and any other sundries you may use.
You also need to take your bedding for a single bed i.e. duvet covers and pillow cases. (Duvets and pillows are supplied but not the linen)
You pay for:-
Your transport to the UK airport and your parking,
£150 deposit per person (refundable immediately on your arrival at resort)
Your food and drink...
...and that's it!
