We’re super excited to host No Violet’s return to The Marrs Bar as part of their 2019 Spring tour.

Grunge//Alt-Rock//Fuzz love.
Bristol-based 4 piece, No Violet, powerfully retain your attention with their enthralling performances of their idiosyncratic blend of fuzz-infused grunge/alt rock and semi-contorted math rock. Ellie (vox), Pete (drums), Rhys (guitar), and Kerry (bass) captivate their audience through a manipulating dynamic range that echoes early Pixies with an added split personality disorder.
The release of single ‘Be My Friend’ in June saw them feature regularly on BBC Intro radioplay ahead of upcoming debut EP, Faces, release on September 14th 2018 via Leisure Records.

“Tasty, fuzzy goodness” – Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6

“With a whole lot of love from DIY, BBC Introducing and broadsheet heavyweight The Independent – No Violet are setting themselves up for a stonking few years ahead.” – PRS M Magazine

New local legends The Jericho Racks will be showcasing their fuzzed-out garage rock in its raw form, distilling the grit and emotion of the old blues masters and mixing it with a frantic primal energy that borders on punk rock. This mixture is not for the faint-hearted, but dangerously addictive for those who can handle it.

From their early teens all members of indie band The Space were heavily involved in music, which lead to their paths eventually crossing and leading to the formation of the band within Kidderminster, England. They developed a varied sound involving flowing, catchy riffs alongside hook-filled vocals and a lively backing from rhythm guitar, bass and drums. The five-piece continue to perform their music live, expressing their original sound and are developing towards a debut album.

Hipflask Virgins are a two-piece groovy riff-rock band from Worcester. Jay and Will have a number of years gigging experience and are at their best playing live, having played rock clubs and festival around the UK and Europe in previous bands. This new two-piece entity is very hard to pigeon hole, drawing their influences from many diverse sources they are firmly a rock band with a dance groove.
