The Arboretum – Deep dark dub filled bass lines, shimmering guitars and twisted beats floating across a Dub Electronica original sound-style – is a collaborative musical project re-booted and reactivated in 2017 featuring brothers Chris & Keith Trim who have collaborated together in one way or another all their musical lives and are now working new collaborators including Eva from ‘The Blue Dive’.
They are working on new material with a view to a follow up to the original debut release of ‘Fading In Another Light’ from a few years ago. Their show at the Marrs Bar on the 31st August gives them an opportunity to showcase their new material and is a follow up to their recent Cafe Bliss – Lazy Sunday performance.
The Arboretum create an original sound built on a dub foundation and reflects the influences of a life time of musical exploration and discovery. From their first band – Equinox, through Pleasure Zone, Somewhere in Bermuda and on into The Motherhive, the Trim brothers have always pursued their own original musical journey and The Arboretum perfectly captures that lifetime of creativity into a single original sound that has most often been described as Dub Electronica.
