CROWDED HOUSE – A superb tribute by CROWDED OUT.
CROWDED OUT recreate the incredible music and on-stage spirit of the brilliant Crowded House.
‘You know more Crowded House songs than you think…’
With no fewer than 11 UK top forty hits – ranging from the infectious summer sound of ‘Weather With You’ to the melancholy beauty of ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’, the soaring power of ‘Distant Sun’ to the hypnotic vibes of ‘Fall at Your Feet’, and the ever-catchy ‘It’s Only Natural’ to the brooding ‘Four Seasons In One Day’, plus album gems and Split Enz’ classics like ‘I Got You’ and ‘Message To My Girl’, CROWDED OUT proudly draw favorable comparison from fans for their authentic live sound, both musically and vocally.
“It’s a huge joy to play and sing all of these amazing songs…”says Andy Thomas – who originally formed the band in 2006.“…And, as fans of Crowded House and Neil Finn will know, every Crowded House/Finn show is different. On stage, we try to make each show special and naturally share a similar instinctive urge to have some ‘Crowdie-style’ fun along the way...”
About Crowded House: It’s simple, really: if you write super songs, they won’t get old. Crowded House have a catalogue that features so many gems that they should, perhaps, be held in the high regard primarily reserved for acts that came before them, the likes of The Beatles and the Stones. At least, they should be seen as a sort of southern hemisphere R.E.M. – capable of writing the finest pop songs, but always with an air of vulnerability, with heavy heart and burning soul. Their roots are very different, but the songs speak for themselves… (Mike Diver – BBC)
CROWDED OUT have performed to fans of Crowded House both at home and abroad – including the Glastonbudget Music Festival,Acoustic Festival of Britain, The New Zealand Society Charity Ball in London, and the CANZA Annual Ball (Czech Australian New Zealand Association) in Prague.
The band have also performed live on BBC WM’s Phil Upton Breakfast Show and Paul Franks Drivetime show, and Andy has also performed live on BBC Hereford & Worcester’s Andrew Easton show.
CROWDED OUT are a ‘must see’ live band not only for Crowded House fans, but to fans of live music everywhere.
