Engorge is an old school Death metal band coming from Utrecht, the Netherlands. In 1999 the first full length 'Awaiting to Subside' was released through Skullcrusher Records, and later on '50 Megatons of Armoured Steel' in 2004. This was the first con...cept album Engorge did, '50 Megatons..' referring to German battleship the Bismark, WWII.
The last couple of years Engorge was put on hold, but in 2011 the band will return one last time to release their new concept album 'Their name Liveth Forevermore...', a remarkable and epic story about a British soldier during WWI, named Paul Travis Dunne. ‘The Sounds of Silence’
A tribute to the music of Simon and Garfunkel

‘The Sounds of Silence’ are a tribute to the music of American duo ‘Simon and Garfunkel’. After re-forming only this year ‘The Sounds of Silence’, made up of Dan Haynes and Pete Richards are fast becoming the UK’s number one Simon and Garfunkel tribute act.
They perform as Simon and Garfunkel themselves did the early years with just a single guitar the backdrop for the duo’s voices. Subtle and delicate in their performance ‘The Sounds of Silence’ bring to life the music that so many of us love. Travelling through the music of ‘Simon and Garfunkel’ the duo perform hits such as Mrs Robinson, Homeward Bound, American and The Box along side many of the album tracks from the 5 studio albums. With beautiful harmonies laid simply on a melodic guitar ‘The Sounds of Silence’ are truly unique in their performance.

New Hope Charity Night
with Jasper In The Company Of Others

Here are a few words from those lovely people at New Hope, a small project based in Worcester:-
We work with children who have disabilities aged 6 to 19 years old.
The aim of the project is two fold:- to give parents much needed respite care and to provide children with support to access leisure opportunties of their choice.
We take the children to farm parks, swimming, horse riding as well as trips to places like Cadbury World and Snowdome. In addition to the trips offered we offer activities within our centre, eg sports days, art and craft sessions and cookery sessions. New Hope gives children with disabilities support and encouragement to enjoy activities just as their non-disabled peer group do. Its a place where children can be together socialising during the holidays which lessens their feelings of isolation.
We opened last year supporting 3 children and we now support 36 children every school holiday and every Saturday throughout the year. We receive no government funding to run our project and rely on our own fundraising efforts to keep supporting the children who access the project.
We have a web site for further information about our project its:- www.newhopeworcester.co.uk
Jasper In The Company Of Others will be headlining this night with more acts to be comfirmed soon.

3 Daft Monkeys

In their own unique DIY style, 3 Daft Monkeys have become one of the most popular touring bands on the UK festival scene. It is refreshing to hear their quirky, original and unusual approach to music, and their exhilarating and energetic live performances draw huge audiences wherever they play. The recent addition of Richie Mulryne on percussion and Lukas Drinkwater on bass and backing vocals has delighted audiences and further enhanced their famously dynamic shows.
"Their songs weave whimsy, wit and wisdom through a tapestry of tales, happily skipping across the boundaries of genre to create their own unique style. Hypnotic Klezmer spirals around, romantic Latino vibes flaunt themselves openly, as weird waltzes wander nonchalantly by and a gypsy-jazz vibe wafts through on the breeze"
(Green Man Music)
Expect all this at a live 3DM gig, delivered with an underlying celtic vibe, and a warm, witty and intimate approach to their audiences. Youll find the desire to dance irresistible.

Vix From Fuzzbox

Victoria Perks - Perhaps better known up until now, as 'ViX' the lead singer/songwriter of all-girl chart band "We've got a ...FUZZBOX... and we're gonna use it!!"
The schoolgirls got together in 1985 and after worldwide success with indie anthem "Rules and Regulations" and chart hits such as "Pink Sunshine" and "International Rescue". They parted company in 1991, until their reunion in 2010, prompted by ViX's appearance on Never Mind The Buzzcocks. They are still, to this day, the UK's most successful all-female band!
ViX toured the UK and Emirates supporting the likes of Paul Weller, Fun Lovin' Criminals, The Wailers, The Christians, Arrested Development etc with her all-girl band "ViX n The Kix" and toured the UK and Japan with The Wildhearts' frontman's supergroup "Ginger and the Sonic Circus".
When not gigging as an acoustic duo or full electric band, the talented songstress is currently in the studio exploring her own interpretations of favourite songs and original material in this genre. The forthcoming album is already looking like quite an eclectic mix!
Co-producers and fellow musicians are Geoff 'JazzBuoy' Hornsby and Neil 'Thor' Darbyshire; Hornsby's alter ego of Jonny Alpha is signed to hip label C Side Trax and NY label Peace Bisquit. The first country album Thor ever recorded with Raymond Froggatt, won Country Music Radio 'Best Produced Country Album of the Year 1998' . Their talent and diverse influences compliment Victoria's beautiful voice, to create a timeless, classic album.
This is just the start of her intrepid new musical adventure into the earthy realms of Americana/New Country/Folk-Rock/Pop.
And so, it seems this well-seasoned traveller has finally come home. The best is yet to come…

Christopher Rees
with support from Wes Dance

After a summer of festival performances including Glastonbury, a live session on The Bob Harris Show on BBC Radio 2 and UK tours with American soul sensation Eli Paperboy Reed and Texan legend Alejandro Escovedo, Christopher Rees returns to The Marrs Bar, for an intimate solo performance. His 5th album Heart On Fire was released to great acclaim in May. Recorded in Texas, USA with 'The South Austin Horns' the album has been championed by MOJO magazine and legendary broadcaster Bob Harris, who didn't hold back with his praise exclaiming, "I love this record...I think it's absolutely terrific". Heart On Fire represents a more soulful and uplifting side to Rees' music fueled by a rich horn section, swirling Hammond organ and his love for vintage Stax soul. Critical acclaim came flooding in with 4 star reviews from national music magazines MOJO and Uncut amongst others. BBC Music also described it as "Startlingly confident country soul". Well accustomed to working with successful American artists Rees has also toured solo with such greats as Steve Earle, Kristin Hersh, Chuck Prophet, The Sadies, Billy Joe Shaver and even Wales' own New Yorker - John Cale. Catch Rees performing stripped down renditions of songs from the new album as well as a selection of older favourites.
